Praise the Lord! Sing unto the Lord a new song,
Praising God in the congregation of saints.
Let Israel rejoice in her Creator:
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King
Let them praise God’s name in the dance;
Let them sing praises unto God!
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!
Psalm 149

Music is an integral part of the worship life of Peace United Church of Christ. We are blessed to have talented and dedicated musicians who lead us each Sunday. Our hope is that what we do honors God and helps each worshiper lift their voice in praise. Above all else, we seek to glorify God through our music!

Our Schedule
Chancel Choir: Our Chancel Choir is open to all interested youth and adults. We regularly sing at the worship experiences of Peace Church. Chancel Choir also presents special seasonal music throughout the year, often accompanied by members of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. Regular rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Handbell Choir: Our Handbell Choir is open to all interested youth and adults. We ring at special worship services throughout year. We currently have a 5 octave set of Schulmerich bells so we’re looking to expand this ministry! Regular rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m, September through May.

Children’s Choir: Our Children’s choir is open to all children grades 1-6. The children’s choir meets on a seasonal basis to present musicals and sing as a part of our services.

For more information, please feel free to contact Elisabeth Penry, Director of Music Ministries, at the church.

My life flows on in endless song above earth’s lamentation,
I catch the sweet, though far off hymn that hails the new creation.
Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear that music ringing.
It finds an echo in my soul. How can I keep from singing?
No storm can shake my inmost calm while to that rock I’m clinging.
Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?
From the hymn “How Can I Keep From Singing?”
