Sponsor monthly VSP (Very Special People) luncheons, a gathering of adults that include a lunch, programs and entertainment. Through the Alter Flower Committee, sponsor weekly floral offerings as well as Easter lilies and Christmas poinsettias that are placed upon the sanctuary alter in honor of those persons on a care list. Provide meals for the Men’s Fellowship monthly meetings as a fund raising event and provide assistance for the Men’s Fellowship brunswick stew. Provide services and meals to members of the church when a death occurs or for those who are sick or disabled. Sponsor the annual Mother-Daughter Banquet in May. Sponsor the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day bulletin inserts and the funds raised are given to specific projects. Provide benevolent gifts to local and national service organizations. Assist with food drives for Urban Ministry. Provide refreshments in the narthex on the fourth Sunday of each month after worship service. Contribute to UCC related institutions and camps. Participate in the delivery of Mobile Meals on the second Thursday of each month. The Women’s Fellowship organization at Peace Church is a wonderful way to participate in service to others and at the same time enjoy the fellowship of dedicated, Christian women through one of the circle groups.
